Gabby Tary is a freelance artist. She’s a Hungarian refugee, born in Budapest, now she lives and works in Santa Monica, California. She has been doing art for the past sixty years; private collectors bought several of her pieces. Gabby graduated with high honors from Santa Monica College, Intermedia, and Graphic Design.
Gabby was born during the second world war; this very much enhances her perception of life and her overall creative process.
Gabby is also known for working in the Hollywood Film Industry, creating makeup designs for films, TV. commercials, and music videos.
The creative process seems to find itself in unpredictable ways, reflecting my emotion like looking in the mirror, witnessing my soul. Brush and paint are vehicles that take me down the highway of expression, show the feelings I feel, manifesting in shape and color. I define my work as figurative. I like saturated colors, bold brushstrokes, get it out of me, can hardly wait to see it, the human story. At first, there is no goal, and suddenly passion entices human emotion.
